Job Purpose:
The Finance & HR Executive supports Foreword Coffee's mission by ensuring sound financial management and effective people operations. This role covers full-spectrum finance tasks alongside HR functions such as payroll, compliance, and employee engagement. The position is crucial in maintaining organisational accountability while fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Finance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor cashflow, working capital, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support budgeting, cost control, and efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure statutory compliance for GST, corporate tax, and other filings.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and relevant authorities.
- Develop and enhance internal financial controls and processes.
Human Resources
- Administer monthly payroll, CPF submissions, and staff claims.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding in HR and payroll systems.
- Maintain accurate HR records, ensuring compliance with MOM regulations.
- Implement employee engagement initiatives such as surveys and feedback mechanisms.
- Support directors in HR-related queries and documentation.
Cross-functional & Organisational Support
- Collaborate with operations and partnerships teams to align financial and HR planning with business needs.
- Support caf and event operations as barista where required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Accounting, LCCI or related qualification.
- Minimum 2 years experience in finance/accounting, with exposure to HR operations preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of Singapore employment and education-related financial regulations is advantageous.
- Valid WSQ Food Safety certification is preferred.
