Job Summary

The Finance and Admin Executive manages the full set of accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely submission of statutory filings. This role drives month-end and year-end closing processes, audit preparations, and supports cross-functional financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full set of accounts including cash flow monitoring to maintain accurate financial status and support business decisions
  • Execute monthly and yearly accounts closing within deadlines to ensure timely financial reporting
  • Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, provisions, and recurring transactions to maintain accurate ledgers
  • Maintain and update general ledger accounts to reflect current financial activities
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments efficiently to support vendor and client transactions
  • Support payroll processing and expense claims to ensure accurate employee compensation and reimbursements
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal teams to resolve billing and payment issues
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and professional advisors to prepare for year-end audits, tax computations, and statutory submissions
  • Prepare and submit GST filings in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards to maintain financial integrity
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department to facilitate smooth operations
  • Apply foundational knowledge of consolidation, budgeting, and cash flow projections to assist in financial planning
  • Utilize knowledge of project accounting to support specific financial tracking and reporting needs (advantageous)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as XERO and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel to enhance financial data management
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing full set of accounts
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders and facilitate financial processes
