Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Field Technician/Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be at the front line of supporting our customers - installing and servicing critical water monitoring systems and CCTV surveillance solutions at construction sites, as well as maintaining water analytical instruments in industrial plants.

This is a practical, field-based role. You will work independently on-site, diagnose technical issues, and ensure systems operate reliably for our customers. If you enjoy problem-solving, working outdoors, and taking ownership of your work, this role will suit you.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and commission water monitoring and CCTV systems at construction sites
  • Perform on-site and in-house service, maintenance, and calibration of water analytical instruments
  • Diagnose faults methodically and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimise customer downtime
  • Prepare clear, complete, and accurate service and calibration reports, ensuring all work performed and service steps for each asset are properly recorded
  • Ensure work is completed according to procedures and safety requirements
  • Test and evaluate the viability of new products
  • Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth job execution

Requirements

  • NITEC or Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent), OR at least 2 years of relevant technical experience
  • Class 3 driving licence (must indicate in resume)
  • Class 2B licence is an advantage (mileage claimable if own motorbike is used for jobs)
  • Comfortable working outdoors at construction sites, drains, and industrial plants
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to troubleshooting
  • Effective communication skills - able to coordinate with colleagues and explain issues clearly to customers
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Please indicate current and expected salary in your application

Benefits

  • 5-day work week (Mon - Fri, 8.30 am - 5.30 pm)
  • Structured on-the-job training
  • Opportunities to gain exposure to other technical roles within the company

Why This Role Matters

Every system you install and every instrument you service directly affects our customers projects and operations. You will often be the first person they rely on to identify and resolve issues.

Your workmanship, reliability, and professionalism directly shape how we are recognised as a trusted service partner in the industry.
