Position: Instrument Technician

Location: Singapore (Island-wide site work)

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Instrument Technician to support maintenance, calibration, and project activities across the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and oil & gas industries.

This role provides strong exposure to industrial instrumentation, control systems, and plant operations, with opportunities to develop both technical and application knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of field instrumentation

Conduct calibration and loop checks at site

Support commissioning, configuration, and troubleshooting of instruments and control systems

Diagnose and rectify faults in instrumentation and control loops

Work with instruments including:

Flow, pressure, temperature, and level transmitters

Control valves and final control elements

PLC / DCS systems (basic exposure)

Control panels and wiring

Assist in project execution, installation, and testing

Prepare basic service reports and documentation

Travel to customer sites across Singapore

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in instrumentation / process industries

Qualification in Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronic /Mechatronic Engineering

Minimum ITE / Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma

Basic understanding of industrial process control and instrumentation

Able to read P&ID and wiring diagrams (preferred)

Physically fit and able to work on-site (including plants /industrial environments)

Class 3 driving license is an advantage

Willing to travel within Singapore

Salary Range: SGD 2,000 - 4,000 (depending on experience)
