Job Summary
A Field Service Engineer delivers expert on-site technical services including installation, testing, operation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of customer systems, ensuring optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures within your area of specialization to execute field service tasks effectively
- Lead on-site installation and initial testing of customer systems to ensure proper setup and functionality
- Operate, maintain, and repair complex equipment and systems to sustain optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently, escalating only complex or unusual problems to senior personnel
- Provide technical and operational support during development, installation, and maintenance phases for complex equipment and systems
- Document and submit detailed, timely reports on all job activities to maintain accurate records and support project tracking
- Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and customers daily to update on work status and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
