As a Facilities Technician at JLL, you'll be the hands-on problem solver who keeps our client's facilities running smoothly and efficiently. This role is critical to maintaining operational excellence and ensuring our premises remain safe, functional, and welcoming. You'll conduct daily inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and respond swiftly to facility needs—from electrical and plumbing work to event support and emergency repairs. Your technical expertise and proactive approach will directly contribute to JLL's reputation for delivering exceptional facility management services.
What your day-to-day will look like:
As a Facilities Technician at JLL, you'll be the hands-on problem solver who keeps our client's facilities running smoothly and efficiently. This role is critical to maintaining operational excellence and ensuring our premises remain safe, functional, and welcoming. You'll conduct daily inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and respond swiftly to facility needs—from electrical and plumbing work to event support and emergency repairs. Your technical expertise and proactive approach will directly contribute to JLL's reputation for delivering exceptional facility management services.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure all building procedures and performance measures are maintained, including daily water and electrical meter readings
- Perform regular checks on all essential equipment to ensure they remain in good operating condition
- Execute basic electrical work including power trip resets, minor rectification or replacement of power switches, light fittings, and light tubes
- Handle basic plumbing work such as removal of choked sinks, attending to leakages, and replacement of kitchen faucets and washroom bidets
- Conduct monthly joint EHS inspections with site staff to ensure no violations occur and that any noncompliance has been rectified accordingly
- Perform basic fan coil unit (FCU) checks and maintenance
- Provide escort services for all vendors including delivery, maintenance, corrective, and reactive services within premises
- Manage M.A.C (Move, Add, and Change) of furniture and work-space when required
- Support onsite meeting rooms, events, and seasonal setups, including decoration and poster management
- Maintain proper inventory management for pantry/ builder/M&E supplies and tools, ensure housekeeping is performed at all times, and keep good inventory of office keys
- Attend to fault calls and emergency escalations as needed
- Experience performing facility maintenance duties including electrical, plumbing, and equipment checks
- Ability to conduct site inspections and perform daily operational tasks independently
- Capability to perform basic electrical work (power resets, switch replacements, light fittings)
- Capability to perform basic plumbing work (clearing blockages, fixing leakages, replacing fixtures)
- Understanding of EHS inspection requirements and compliance procedures
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including furniture moves, equipment maintenance, and workspace modifications
- Strong organizational skills for managing keys, supplies, tools, and vendor coordination
- Experience with fan coil unit (FCU) maintenance
- Familiarity with ambient temperature monitoring and adjustment
- Experience providing vendor escort services and coordinating maintenance contractors
- Basic knowledge of wall maintenance, touch-up work, and door repair (hinges, stoppers, locksets)
- Experience replacing faulty locksets for pedestals, cabinets, and cupboards
- Ability to respond to ad-hoc duties and emergency situations flexibly
