Job Summary
The Senior/Leasing Executive will be responsible for driving the leasing performance of retail properties within the CDL Group and MCST-managed assets. This role focuses on securing suitable tenants, optimising tenant mix, strengthening tenant relationships, and supporting the longterm commercial success of assigned malls.
Job Responsibilities
Leasing & Tenant Mix Management
- Source, evaluate, and secure suitable tenants to achieve an optimal and vibrant tenant mix across assigned retail properties.
- Manage the full leasing cycle including prospecting, space showings, negotiations, and finalisation of lease terms.
- Handle lease renewals proactively to ensure minimal vacancy downtime and maintain rental performance standards.
Market Insights & Research
- Monitor and analyse retail market trends, consumer behaviour shifts, and competitor activities.
- Have an interest to conduct research on rental benchmarks, market positioning to support strategic leasing decisions.
- Recommend new leasing strategies, marketing tools, and initiatives to enhance space take-up and tenant engagement.
Tenant & Stakeholder Management
- Build, maintain, and strengthen strong relationships with tenants, prospects, agents, and industry partners.
- Serve as main liaison for assigned tenants and support their operational needs where required.
- Collaborate with the Credit Control team on arrears management to reduce exposure and ensure healthy tenant performance.
Lease Documentation & Administration
- Prepare, review, and ensure timely execution of lease agreements, renewals, and all related documentation.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, compliant, and aligned with internal policies and timelines.
- Maintain updated tenant records and leasing reports for management review.
Budgeting & Financials
- Prepare annual budgets for assigned malls, including rental projections and occupancy planning.
- Support financial analysis related to leasing performance and revenue optimisation.
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Real Estate or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant retail leasing experience.
- Resourceful, energetic, and confident with strong business acumen.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and organisational capabilities.
- Wellconnected with retail players and leasing agents.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
