Job Description

The Office of Admissions (OAM) oversees full-time undergraduate admissions, scholarships and financial aid. Reporting to Provost's Office, OAM develops policies and manages operations for undergraduate admission, scholarship and financial aid administration, and markets NUS's undergraduate programmes.

The incumbent will support Outreach team in developing and executing strategies to engage with high school students locally and abroad, promote NUS as a top choice for prospective students by fostering relationships with educational institutions and other stakeholders, and organise outreach activities to meet NUS's undergraduate recruitment objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outreach
  • Coordinate and participate in outreach events locally and abroad (such as school visits and talks, open houses, education fairs and webinars), ensuring high engagement level
  • Identify and assess new outreach opportunities to enhance diversity and reach
  • Prepare and present digital content to enhance NUS's appeal to prospective students
  • Gather and analyse feedback from outreach events for continuous improvement
  • Promptly and accurately update outreach event records and participation numbers
  • Provide administrative and logistical support as required
  • Travel abroad occasionally for overseas outreach events
  • Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain good relationships with high schools and key stakeholders locally and abroad
  • Serve as a liaison to facilitate collaboration, address inquiries and guide counsellors, educators and students on admission requirements
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders for aligned outreach efforts
  • Foster strong internal team relationships to align outreach efforts with organisational goals
  • Marketing and Communications
  • Leverage social media and digital platforms to enhance engagement and visibility
  • Design promotional materials and digital content tailored to school audiences
  • Coordinate accurate and timely delivery of campaigns, ads and publications
  • Student Ambassador (SA)
  • Monitor SAs chat interactions with OAM website visitors, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Collate and analyse interaction reports to identify trends and areas for improvement on admissions/outreach processes
  • Mentor SAs in outreach activities to foster their professional development
  • Procurement and Budgeting
  • Plan and procure marketing materials and services for outreach events, adhering to organisational policies, budgets and deadlines
  • Scholarship Administration
  • Administer scholarship renewals and reviews, including assessing scholars academic performance, preparing renewal recommendations, and coordinating with faculties/offices on cases needing further review
  • Manage scholarship renewal cycles, including consulting stakeholders, and communicating renewal outcomes to scholars
  • Administer scholarship-related benefits and reimbursements (travel grants, overseas programme support, allowances) as per scholarship terms
  • Coordinate with faculties on matters relating to scholars participation in overseas exchanges and other approved activities
  • Manage scholarship enquiries and advise scholars/stakeholders on policies, benefits, and processes
  • Support scheduling and coordination of international scholarship interviews, selection, offers, disbursement and onboarding, including logistics and onsite assistance
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

  • Recognised Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Relevant education sector work experience preferred; candidates without experience are welcome to apply.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and meticulous
  • Strong project management skills in planning and prioritising work to meet competing deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, HTML, GA4 and design/photo-editing software
  • Familiar with social media and digital marketing
  • Work independently and in a team, with a positive learning attitude
  • Quickly grasp information and clearly and concisely communicate requirements/issues
  • Work flexible hours (including occasional evenings and weekends) and travel locally and abroad as needed
  • Second language fluency is an advantage
