The candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating end-to-end cross-trade shipment operations between overseas origins and destination countries. The role serves as the key liaison between customers, overseas offices, headquarters, and internal sales teams to ensure smooth shipment execution, timely customer communication, and accurate operational reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
Shipment Coordination & Operations
Manage end-to-end cross trade shipment between overseas origins and destination countries
Coordinate closely with origin offices, HR, and customers on booking and shipment requirements
Monitor shipment progress to ensure timely movement of cargo and resolve operational issues or delays
Customer Service & Communication
Serve as the main point of contact for customers on shipment updates and inquiries
Provide timely updates and proactively communicate any service changes
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement
Support joint customer visits or calls with the Sales team when required
Quotation & Pricing Coordination
Source and coordinate freight rates from HQ and origin offices
Prepare and send quotations to customers promptly
Support the Sales team in RFQs, tenders, and pricing negotiations
System Management & Documentation
Maintain accurate customer profiles in internal system
Ensure proper documentation for all cross-trade shipments and customer interactions
Customer Support & Business Development
Conduct telemarketing activities to support cargo bookings and generate shipment opportunities
Providely timely updates to Sales team on customer cargo support and booking status
Keep customers informed on freight pricing updates, surcharges, and service offering
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Prepare weekly shipment lifiting reports by customers
Support monthly cross-trade lifting performance report
Support performance review and growth planning discussions with the Sales team to achieve sales targets
Requirement:
Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies/ Logistics & Supply Chain/ related field of studies
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
Strong communication and coordination skills
Candidate must be meticulous with details, possesses positive learning attitude and able to cope with fast pace working environment
Candidates with shipping cross trade sales experience or willingness to take on sales responsibilities are highly preferred
