Primary Role: Project Management Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, and oversee construction projects from site implementation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop and implement project strategies, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, including clients, contractors, regulatory authorities and end-users
- Lead and coordinate project meetings, providing directions and problem-solving support.
- Ensure compliance with contractual specifications and obligations, safety regulations, industry standards and local building codes
- Prepare and present progress reports, financial forecasts, and project documentation, if required
- Ensure seamless coordination across multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals.
- Optimize resource allocation to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Supporting Role: Resident Engineer Responsibilities
- Supervise construction works on-site, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
- Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, and material submissions.
- Conduct site inspections and coordinate with contractors to resolve technical and design issues.
- Monitor construction progress, conduct quality checks, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Provide technical guidance to contractors and project teams.
- Liaise with relevant authorities for inspections, approvals, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure proper documentation of site activities, non-compliance reports, and corrective actions.
- Verify quality assurance measures and enforce safety regulations on-site.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
- Recognized Resident Engineer certification by IES/ACES
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management and site supervision.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with local building codes, authority approvals, and contract specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Knowledge of Autocad, BIM and PSSCOC is a bonus
