Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and professional Executive Officer to join our Operations Research team.

Based in Singapore and reporting to the Senior Manager, the incumbent will conduct field research activities, propose and develop field operations plans to manage and counter illegal betting activities.

What You'll Do

  • You will plan and conduct field research activities and enforcement operations including information collation, analysis, and reports.
  • You will manage and ensure field research and enforcement operations to counter illegal betting activities are conducted ethically and professionally.
  • You will maintain, update, and protect the Customers Blacklist (OEN) database and ensure strict compliance with its related policies.
  • You will be responsible for information gathering, collation, analysis and archival of information.
  • You will maintain and update information of interest to Operations Research team.
  • You will perform research on relevant topics, as and when required.
  • You will work with internal stakeholders to propose and develop policies and strategies to manage and counter illegal betting activities in Singapore Pools live betting venues.
  • When assigned, you will serve as point of contact with external stakeholders, e.g., law enforcement agencies, and to facilitate any external agency-led investigations related to illegal betting activity within or in the vicinity of Singapore Pools live betting venues.
  • You will develop and maintain working relationships with external stakeholders, e.g., enforcement agencies, with the objective to understand and mitigate illegal bookmaking activities, especially those with direct impact on Singapore Pools mission.

Who You Are

  • You have a GCE A Level education or Diploma.
  • You have at least 5 years of work experience in investigation and/or intelligence field, including demonstrated experience in planning intelligence projects and field research operations, or at least 5 years of work experience in enforcement work.
  • A valid Police Licensing Regulatory Department licence is a plus.
  • Experience in related field of responsibilities is a plus.
  • Proficiency in second language and dialects, especially Hokkien, to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • You are able to work independently.
  • You have good analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • You are able to handle challenging or dynamic situations in the field, including but not limited to management of uncooperative customers to mitigate risks of violence.
  • You have working knowledge of criminal law and regulations relating to illegal betting and gambling, both terrestrial and remote means, is a plus.
  • You have basic proficiency with technology platforms like MS Office and mobile applications such as WhatsApp and Telegram.
  • You should be able to perform duties on weekends and/or public holidays.
