Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Independently carry out Conceptual, Preliminary and Detailed Design engineering for Mechanical Services (ACMV, Fire Protection, Plumbing & Sanitary) for commercial and office Buildings and warehouses.
- Carry out E20 cooling load calculations, sizing and selection of ACMV equipment (chillers, pumps cooling towers), perform fan static pressure loss and pump head calculations, fire sprinkler hydraulic calculations.
- Undertake Building Services Mechanical (HVAC, P&S, Fire Fighting/Protection systems) planning and engineering designs for buildings.
- Carry out mechanical engineering designs, sizing and selection of HVAC, P&S and Fire Fighting/Protection systems and equipment (ACMV, pumps, ventilation fans, pipelines, etc).
- Spatial planning of Mechanical equipment layouts, routings of distribution PipeWorks, with consideration of space for maintenance and operation.
- Carry out consultations with local authorities / agencies
- Perform trade studies/research, write research/technical reports, project proposals, cost estimates.
- Sketch and design the layout of ACMV and fire related plantrooms and routings of ductworks and PipeWorks, with consideration of space for maintenance and operation.
- Carry out consultations with local authorities / agencies
- Preparation / Development of tender specifications and drawings
- Perform tender evaluations and prepare tender evaluation reports
- Attend technical and progress meetings with client, architects, consultants and contractors
- Review of contractor's shop drawings and technical submissions.
About You
Suitable applicants will be/have:
- Bachelor's degree (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University
- Min. 2-5 years in carrying out designs of Mechanical services (ACMV, Fire sprinkler system, Fire alarm system, Plumbing & Sanitary).
- Experience in performing combined services drawings will be an added advantage
- Experience in the design with absorption chiller and thermal energy storage system will be an added advantage
- Conversant with relevant local codes and standards.
- Proficient in MS Suites, Project and ACAD
- Strong writing skills, verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to be an independent problem solver
- Team player and ability to work with and manage clients and contractors.
