Executive Director

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Executive Director to lead and drive technology initiatives across emerging areas, with a particular focus on blockchain, digital assets, and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology initiatives across blockchain, digital assets, distributed technologies, and other emerging technology areas.
• Define technology direction and translate business opportunities into scalable technology solutions.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new technology capabilities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and technical approaches to identify potential opportunities.
• Work closely with engineering teams to develop and deliver innovative technology solutions.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across technology and business functions to align priorities and objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance across complex, high-impact initiatives.
• Drive collaboration across multiple technology teams and external partners where required.
• Establish appropriate technology architecture, engineering practices, and delivery standards.
• Oversee the development and implementation of robust, secure, and scalable solutions.
• Stay up to date with developments across blockchain, digital assets, distributed systems, and other emerging technologies.
• Communicate complex technical concepts and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop technology professionals while fostering a strong engineering culture.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing technology capabilities and explore new areas of innovation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in technology, engineering, architecture, or software development, with significant leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of blockchain, distributed ledger technology, digital assets, digital currencies, or related emerging technologies.
• Proven experience leading complex technology initiatives from concept through implementation.
• Strong software engineering and technical architecture background.
• Experience working with engineering teams and senior technology stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of modern technology platforms, distributed systems, APIs, cloud technologies, and software development practices.
• Ability to assess emerging technologies and translate them into practical business and technology opportunities.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Experience within financial services, fintech, technology, or other highly regulated environments is advantageous.
