Job Description

Esplanade's vision is to be a performing arts centre for everyone, enriching lives through the arts. Community Engagement (CE) is at the heart of Esplanade's mission to entertain, engage, educate, and inspire people from all walks of life.

You will support programmes that bring the arts to diverse communities. The role involves planning, coordinating, and implementing arts-based initiatives, as well as supporting research and impact evaluation to understand how the arts contribute to individual and community wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Management & Learning Journeys

  • Assist in the planning, co-ordination, and execution of a wide range of community engagement programmes, both onsite and offsite, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.
  • Support the implementation of a dance research project by coordinating schedules, liaising with participating schools, artists, and research partners, and assisting in the collection and documentation of research-related data.
  • Manage all administrative tasks including preparing and maintaining records, reports and data for documentation and reporting purposes, and media documentation for archival and evaluation.
  • Assist in co-ordinating Learning journeys for community, healthcare, and research partners.

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative assistance, including preparing reports, maintaining records, handling correspondence and tracking budgets and KPIs.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation, post-event reports, and evaluation summaries.
  • Provide additional administrative and coordination support as required by the department.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in arts management, social sciences, communications, or related field.
  • At least 2 years relevant working experience.
  • Meticulous, resourceful, and able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong command of English (both oral and written). Proficiency in a Mother Tongue language, such as Malay or Mandarin, is an added advantage.
  • Interest or experience in research particularly in dance, arts education, or community engagement will be an advantage.
  • Salary range: $3,600 - $3,900.
