Job Summary
Drive business growth by identifying and securing new event opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and supporting seamless event execution within the MICE industry.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by researching and reaching out to potential clients such as corporate companies, event planners, and agencies to expand event sales.
- Generate qualified leads through strategic networking, cold calling, and leveraging referrals to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their event requirements and recommending tailored event packages that align with their objectives.
- Conduct venue tours and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients to showcase event offerings and secure bookings.
- Promote comprehensive event packages including venue, catering, audiovisual, and related services to maximize sales revenue.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals, quotations, and contracts to clients, ensuring clarity and alignment with client expectations.
- Collaborate closely with operations and event planning teams to communicate event details and support smooth event execution.
- Provide on-site support during events as needed to ensure client satisfaction and successful delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of cost of sales expenses and track leads, sales activities, and client interactions to inform management decisions.
- Prepare regular sales and project reports for management to monitor performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Manage time effectively to balance multiple client engagements and sales activities while meeting deadlines.
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or Event Management.
- 2-4 years of sales experience, preferably in events, hospitality, or the MICE industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills to engage clients and close sales.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced sales environment.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Basic knowledge of event planning to support coordination and client consultations.
