Job Description

The Delivery & Customer Service Assistant supports daily delivery operations while ensuring accurate order fulfilment, proper handling of goods, and positive customer interactions. This role also contributes to collections, basic sales support, and customer service, helping to maintain strong client relationships and smooth operational flow.

Roles & Responsibilities:
. Assist the driver in daily delivery operations, including loading, unloading, and timely delivery of goods to designated locations

. Ensure proper handling, stacking, and transportation of goods to prevent damage, while maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle and work area

. Check and verify goods against delivery orders and invoices, ensuring accuracy and obtaining customer acknowledgement upon delivery

. Receive and handle cash and cheque payments from customers, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and adherence to company procedures

. Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries, respond to enquiries, and handle complaints appropriately, escalating issues when necessary

. Support basic sales activities by taking customer orders during delivery and identifying opportunities to promote products or encourage repeat business


Requirements:
. Safe loading, unloading, and handling of goods (including items up to 20kg)

. Proper stacking and securing of goods to prevent damage during transportation

. Ability to read and interpret delivery orders, invoices, and basic documentation (English and Mandarin)

. Verification of goods against delivery orders and identification of discrepancies

. Basic cash and cheque handling, including accurate collection and documentation

. Familiarity with delivery routes and use of navigation tools (e.g. Google Maps)

. Time management and coordination of delivery schedules to ensure timely completion

. Customer service communication skills, including handling enquiries and basic complaint management

. Basic sales support skills, including order-taking and product promotion during delivery

. Understanding of workplace safety practices and manual handling techniques

. Ability to maintain cleanliness and organisation of vehicle and work environment

. Teamwork and communication skills to support coordination with driver and operations team
