Job Summary
Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical projects by analyzing technical diagrams and specifications, coordinating with engineering teams, and managing quotation documentation to support project enquiries and ensure timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Analyze Single Line Diagrams, Layouts, Control Diagrams, and Specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for project enquiries
- Develop appropriate costing estimates based on written and verbal specifications from supervisors and project enquiries
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering Department to maintain coordinated design efforts and ensure estimate accuracy
- Prepare Schedule of Rate and Technical Data Sheets to support project costing and documentation
- Verify completeness and accuracy of estimates and maintain all revisions systematically
- Enter quotation enquiries into the system and organize technical data, schedules of rates, and related documents efficiently
- Adapt to additional ad-hoc duties as assigned to support team and project needs
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or NITEC in Electrical Engineering or a minimum of 1 year of experience in costing electrical projects
- Ability to read and interpret Single-Line electrical drawings accurately
- Capacity to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation
- Willingness and ability to work under tight schedules and overtime when required
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- In-house training provided for development of costing skills
