ESG Client Advisor (Financial) / CBD, Contract
Summary
This role sits within our Client Advisory team, which is dedicated to the success, retention, and long term partnership of existing clients. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients embed ESG insights into their investment processes, risk frameworks, product development, and regulatory reporting. You will play a critical role in ensuring continuity of client relationships and service excellence for some of the most important financial institutions across Asia, helping them derive ongoing value from ESG research, data, platforms, and expertise.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of existing clients across Asia (ex-Japan), ensuring continuity of our long term relationships and excellent service levels
- Support clients in embedding ESG research, data, and tools into their investment, risk, stewardship, and reporting workflows, translating ESG data into practical decision-making
- Deliver a high quality client experience, including understanding client needs, providing training and guidance, coordinating effective support, and gathering feedback to improve products and services
- Proactively engage clients to deepen usage and value, through subject matter expertise, practical use case inspiration, and participation in thought leadership and events
- Where appropriate, help expand engagement within existing client organisations by connecting with new teams or stakeholders and identifying additional areas of opportunity
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Client Support, and global colleagues across Asia Pacific, Europe, and America to ensure seamless client coverage
Requirements
The ideal candidate needs good client service and communication skills and a good understanding of the investor landscape and responsible investment trends.
- Ideally 5-10 years experience in a client relationship, customer success, or advisory role within ESG, financial services, or related industries
- Good understanding of financial institutions, particularly asset owners, banks and/or asset managers
- Knowledge of ESG and responsible investment practices
- Client and stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
- A self-starter that is highly organised, proactive, and comfortable stepping into an existing portfolio to ensure continuity
- Ability to explain complex products and datasets clearly and effectively
- Commitment to sustainability and alignment with ESG mission, vision and values.
- Degree in a relevant discipline (business, finance, environment or social sciences or similar)
Desirable but not required: Master's degree or CFA certification
