Equipment Engineer (Die/Mold/Pick&Place)

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Development & Qualification: Lead new machine development and qualification. Manage machine buyoff, setup pilot line equipment, and facilitate the transfer of machinery to the production line.

• Documentation: Establish and update specifications, workflows, and safety-related documentation for equipment within the production line.

• Troubleshooting & Improvement: Solve equipment-related issues to improve machine capabilities and cycle times from the NPI stage through to high-volume manufacturing.

• Maintenance & Control: Lead and drive SPC control. Maintain and review FMEA, Control Plans, and OCAP with cross-functional teams to ensure machine reliability.

• Vendor Liaison: Coordinate and liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding equipment performance or quality issues.

• Operational Support: Provide disposition for engineering and production lots. Manage customer audits and 8D reports related to equipment performance

Requirements

Education: Minimum Degree in Electrical & Electronics, Microelectronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in one of the following areas:

• Die Prep.
• Molding.
• Pick and Place.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in SPC, DOE, FMEA, and 8D reporting.
