Key Responsibilities
- The role partners with Senior Management to align departmental strategy with business objectives while leading, coaching, and developing supervisors, team leads, and technical staff to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Responsible for defining and managing KPIs, driving operational performance, and ensuring effective execution of engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Oversees all technical documentation including drawings, models, NPI, SOPs, and OMS, while ensuring full compliance with ISO standards and controlled process governance.
- Manages Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), End-of-Life (EOL) transitions, and configuration control, while maintaining strong ERP/MRP system integrity to ensure accurate data for planning, reporting, and decision-making.
- Leads root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAR/OFI), driving continuous improvement across engineering, quoting, and operational workflows.
- Ensures timely resolution of technical and process issues.
- Develops cost models, labour standards, pricing structures, and lead-time benchmarks to support accurate, competitive, and profitable quoting.
- Supports sourcing initiatives through supplier negotiation and cost optimization.
- Acts as the key interface between engineering, operations, sales, procurement, and customers, ensuring clear communication
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with hands-on experience managing and updating multi-level BOM (Bill of Materials).
- Ability to design and update electrical industrial enclosure (electrical box) blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office tools for reporting and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, BOM structures, and manufacturing documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-focused mindset.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as in a team.
- Able to translate technical requirements into practical operational execution.
