- Lead the engineering efforts on large-scale LNG and oil/gas projects, ensuring the design, procurement, and construction phases meet the required technical specifications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers, promoting best practices in engineering design and execution.
- Oversee design reviews, calculations, and system integration to ensure the project meets performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve engineering challenges and ensure project success.
- Ensure quality assurance and technical compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
- Review engineering deliverables (drawings, specifications, and reports) and provide technical input to ensure they align with the project's requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues that arise during the execution phase and provide innovative solutions to overcome challenges.
- Support the procurement process by providing technical specifications for equipment and materials required for the project.
- Monitor project progress and assist in ensuring that engineering milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and practices across projects.
Minimum Competence Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in LNG & oil/gas projects, with significant exposure to EPC projects.
Key Skills
- Knowledge of project risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills to manage engineering teams effectively.
- Experience in working with multinational teams and understanding of international project standards.
- Proficiency in English and Chinese (spoken and written).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, API, ISO for LNG and oil/gas projects
