Job Description
We are seeking an Engineer / Senior Engineer with strong experience in coastal, marine, or nearshore civil works to support our marine civil projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, executing, and supervising marine construction activities, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise coastal and marine construction activities, such as ground improvement, seabund construction or reclamation works.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor marine equipment and logistics, including barges, pontoons, cranes, workboats, and materials delivery via sea.
- Prepare and submit daily / weekly progress reports to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders, highlighting work progress, challenges, delays, and mitigation measures.
- Lead and manage site preparation and marine setup (temporary access, staging areas, temporary platforms, silt curtains, turbidity control, etc.).
- Conduct or supervise site investigations and marine surveys, such as bathymetric checks, seabed verification, soil sampling, and instrumentation monitoring.
- Ensure all works comply with design drawings, engineering specifications, QA/QC standards, environmental requirements, and relevant marine regulations.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, marine crews, and specialist marine vendors, ensuring planned work sequences, productivity, and safety compliance.
- Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, lifting plans, traffic/marine coordination plans, and other project documentation required for approval.
- Work closely with project consultants, authorities, and internal teams for permits, approvals, inspections, and design clarifications.
- Enforce and promote Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and Environmental Management practices, including monitoring of tidal windows, weather conditions, and marine safety constraints.
- Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, and logistics for timely delivery of materials, marine plant mobilisation, and consumables.
- Assist the project team with any ad-hoc engineering tasks, planning activities, or technical support required to achieve project objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in coastal, marine, reclamation, waterfront, or nearshore civil engineering works.
- Strong planning, coordination, and documentation skills.
- Good understanding of marine safety, environmental control, and statutory regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working with multiple teams and subcontractors.
- Able to work independently, manage tight schedules, and handle dynamic site conditions.
- Familiarity with marine logistics and equipment operations is an added advantage.

- This role involves a combination of office and site-based work, depending on project needs
- Site Working hours: 5.5 days / alternate Saturdays (full day)
- Office working hours: 5 days / 44hrs per week
