Embedded System Test Lead

As an Embedded System Test Lead, you support the verification and validation of internal R&D embedded systems. The role focuses on system, integration, and functional testing of embedded hardware and software in accordance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Embedded System Testing & Verification

. Perform integration, functional, and system testing on embedded systems comprising hardware, firmware, and software components.

. Execute test activities based on system requirements, interface specifications, and design documents.

. Develop, review, and maintain test plans, test procedures, and test reports.

. Identify, log, track, and support resolution of defects through the full lifecycle.

Test Environment & Platform Support

. Set up and maintain test benches, simulators, and laboratory environments.

. Interface with embedded hardware (e.g. boards, I/O modules, communication interfaces).

. Support testing activities on virtual platforms and physical hardware.

Automation & Tooling

. Contribute to test automation using scripting or test frameworks where applicable.

. Support Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) activities by integrating tests into automatedpipelines.

. Analyse test results and ensure traceability between requirements and test cases.

Integration & Qualification Support

. Support integration testing, system testing, and qualification activities.

. Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) when required.

. Assist during commissioning, troubleshooting, and field issue resolution.

Quality, Safety & Documentation

. Ensure testing activities comply with quality processes and applicable safety standards.

. Contribute to peer reviews of requirements, test procedures, and technical documentation.

. Support audits and assessments related to safety, quality, and compliance.

Collaboration & Agile Ways of Working

. Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, Daily stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives).

. Work closely with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and improve test coverage.

. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methods and engineering practices.

Must Have Job Requirements:

. Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

. Minimum 5 years in software/hardware testing, with at least 3 years in test architecture or testautomation leadership.

. Technical Skills:

. Automation frameworks: Robot Framework, PyTest/JUnit/TestNG, Selenium/Cypress/Playwright(web), Appium/Espresso/XCUITest (mobile).

. Programming/Scripting: Python, Java (or similar)

. CI/CD/CT & DevOps: Jenkins (declarative pipelines/shared libraries), GitLab CI/GitHub Actions, artifact repos (Nexus/Artifactory), Git workflows (PR/MR, code review).

. API & integration testing: REST/gRPC (Postman, REST Assured), contract testing, service virtualization/mocking.

. Performance & reliability: JMeter, k6, Locust test data generation chaos/failover testing where applicable.

. Security & quality: SAST/DAST (SonarQube, CodeQL, OWASP ZAP/Burp), dependency/SBOM scanning, fuzz testing.

Good-to-have Job Requirements:

. Programming/Scripting: Visual Basic, Bash/PowerShell.

. Environments & observability: Linux, Docker/Kubernetes, logs/metrics/traces (ELK/EFK, Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry).

. Domain: eSIM/eUICC/eSE, GlobalPlatform, ISO/IEC 7816/14443, NFC, Java Card, cryptography, protocolanalyzers, HIL/simulators, mobile device test labs.

. Soft Skills:
