Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Electronics Technician to support our drone operations team.
This role is mainly based in the workshop, focusing on repairing, testing, and maintaining electronic equipment used in field operations. You will also support field teams when issues happen, helping to troubleshoot and get systems back up quickly.
If you enjoy working with real hardware, fixing problems, and making things work reliably, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain electronic equipment (e.g. drone systems, controllers, batteries, cables)
- Troubleshoot hardware issues using basic tools (e.g. multimeter)
- Perform soldering and minor PCB repair when required
- Conduct testing and checks before equipment is deployed to site
- Support field teams remotely (via phone/WhatsApp) to diagnose issues
- Identify common problems and suggest improvements
- Keep simple records of repairs and test results
- Maintain tools, spare parts, and workshop organization
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma / ITE / Polytechnic in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar
- OR relevant hands-on experience in electronics repair / technician roles
- Able to use basic tools (multimeter, soldering tools, etc.)
- Comfortable with hands-on repair work
- Able to troubleshoot problems step-by-step
- Basic English (for simple reporting and communication)
- Responsible and able to work independently
Good to Have (Not Required)
- Experience in drone / UAV / robotics
- Experience in field service or site support
- Experience working with batteries or power systems
