Job Summary
The Electrical Technician performs electrical installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance to ensure electrical systems operate safely and efficiently in industrial, commercial, and residential settings.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to technical specifications and safety standards
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and restore electrical system functionality promptly
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize system downtime
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety codes, regulations, and company standards
- Assist engineers and supervisors in executing projects and upgrading electrical systems
- Document maintenance activities and report electrical issues clearly to management
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma, certificate, or vocational training in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certification preferred
