Job Description
The Senior Electrical Technician is responsible for leading electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities. This role requires advanced technical expertise, the ability to supervise junior technicians, and ensuring that electrical systems operate safely and efficiently in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical technicians in daily operations
- Perform complex troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Oversee installation, wiring, and preventive maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards
- Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff
- Prepare reports, maintenance logs, and documentation for management
Requirements
- Diploma, certificate, or vocational training in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5-8 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership abilities
- Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) certification preferred
