Overview
NES Fircroft is partnering with a leading engineering organization to hire a QA/QC Electrical Engineer for a large-scale power plant project in Singapore.
This role will focus on ensuring quality compliance across electrical installation works, including transformers, switchgear, cable systems, and associated infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing subcontractors, vendors, and site quality processes in a fast-paced EPC environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee QA/QC activities for electrical installation works across the project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards for:Power transformersMV/HV/LV switchgearCable trays and support systemsCable pulling, termination, and routing
- Review and implement Inspection Test Plans (ITP), method statements, and quality procedures
- Conduct site inspections, surveillance, and audits for electrical works
- Monitor subcontractor and vendor activities to ensure adherence to quality requirements
- Raise, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and site observations
- Manage punch list items and ensure timely closure before commissioning
- Witness and verify electrical testing activities, including pre-commissioning checks
- Review QA/QC documentation including test reports, checklists, and handover packages
- Coordinate with project engineers, construction teams, and client representatives on quality matters
- Ensure proper documentation control and submission of as-built records
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 5-8 years of experience in QA/QC Electrical roles within EPC, power, or industrial projects
- Strong experience in electrical systems including:TransformersSwitchgear (LV/MV/HV)Cable trays and cable management systemsCable pulling, termination, and testing
- Hands-on experience in QA/QC processes:ITP, method statementsNCR managementSite inspections and auditsPunch list management
- Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, and site teams
- Familiarity with testing and commissioning processes is an advantage
- Experience in power plant, substation, or industrial infrastructure projects preferred
- Strong understanding of safety, quality standards, and project documentation
