A local company designing and manufacturing automated vision inspection equipment for use in semiconductor production line is seeking engineers for their operations.
The Electrical Engineer specialises in motion control of wafer handling for wafer probers, and focuses on designing and developing the electrical systems for motion control in wafer probers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design electrical systems and components for wafer probers including motors, drives, sensors, and control systems.
- Develop detailed electrical engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD software
- Conduct feasibility studies and simulations, to validate design concepts and performance.
- Build and test prototypes to evaluate the performance and reliability of the motion control systems.
- Conduct experiments and test to ensure performance criteria and industry standards.
- Analyze test results and make the necessary design adjustments to improve functionality and efficiency.
- Good communications skills to work with other teams and departments to integrate motion control systems with the wafer probers by presenting design concepts, progress and issues to various stakeholders and teams.
- Implement feedback from field tests and customer use, to identify opportunities for innovation improvement.
- Manage motion control design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timeline and quality standards are met.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Work with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality components and evaluate them based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users operating the systems, thru resolution of customer issues and developing training and technical documents.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related.
- Experience in design for material handling systems.
- Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD
- Specific experience in wafer probers or semiconductor testing is advantageous.
