ED/MD, Head of Wealth Planning, Asia - Major Private Bank

A global wealth manager is seeking to hire a Head of Wealth Planning, Asia to support their growing business in Asia. This role is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

This hire will be responsible for leading, developing, and executing the firm&aposs wealth planning expertise and strategy in Asia. You will focus on building a strong advisory offering tailored to suit the firm&aposs clients&apos needs across the region, including providing advice on inter-generational wealth planning, succession and legacy planning. You will partner Relationship Managers and the Group&aposs global wealth planning team to ensure alignment and provision of holistic bespoke wealth solutions. You will build partnerships with external service providers to strengthen the firm&aposs client offering. You will represent the firm at industry conferences and speaking engagements on wealth planning matters to further elevate the firm&aposs presence.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a Degree in Law/Finance or related discipline. You have at least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar function in private banking. Your strong understanding of wealth structuring and solutions, deep knowledge of regulatory developments in Asia as well as solid experience in wealth planning or a related field (E.g. tax, legal, fiduciary services) will enable you to be successful in this leadership role. An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, you work well across functions, cultures, regions, internal stakeholders and external partners. As a leader, you are entrepreneurial, driven, proactive and thrive on growing a business.
