Job Summary
You will guide children aged 2-5 through interactive music lessons that build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music in a safe, playful environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging music classes for children aged 2 to 5, using age-appropriate methods to foster musical interest and skills
- Lead group activities incorporating singing, movement, and storytelling to enhance musical learning and enjoyment
- Introduce and instruct children on basic instruments including small percussion (shakers, rhythm sticks, drums), ukulele, and xylophone/keyboard
- Observe and assess each child's musical interests and strengths to tailor learning experiences
- Create and maintain a positive, safe, and encouraging classroom environment that supports children's development
- Communicate regularly with parents to report on children's progress and developmental milestones
- Keyboard skills are essential
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience teaching or working with young children, preferably in music or early childhood education
- Background in music such as piano, ukulele, percussion, or early childhood music programs
- Experience in preschool, enrichment, or group class settings
- Ability to sing confidently and lead musical activities
