A Process Plant E&I (Electrical and Instrumentation) Technician is responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems: Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Installing and commissioning new electrical and instrumentation systems: Installing and testing new equipment, and ensuring it is functioning correctly.
- Troubleshooting and resolving electrical and instrumentation issues: Identifying and resolving problems with electrical and instrumentation systems, using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Performing calibration and testing of instrumentation: Calibrating and testing instrumentation equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborating with other teams: Working with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Following safety procedures and protocols: Ensuring that all work is performed safely, and adhering to plant safety procedures and protocols.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge: Understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems, including design, operation, and maintenance.
- Practical skills: Ability to perform hands-on maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
