DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely operate assigned vehicle (car, van, truck, etc.) to transport goods.
- Follow designated routes and schedules as per company or client instructions.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks (fuel, oil, tires, lights).
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and in good working condition at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel use, and travel time.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.
- Assist with loading and unloading of cargo if required.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Prepare and process all required documentation for cargo clearance including airway bills (AWB), invoices, packing lists, permits, and certificates.
- Liaise with customs, quarantine, and other airport authorities for import/export cargo clearance.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations for air cargo, including IATA, ICAO, and local customs laws.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, ground handling agents, warehouse personnel, and transporters for the smooth movement of cargo.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve clearance delays or documentation issues.
- Handle clearance of specialized or restricted cargo (e.g., perishables, hazardous materials, bonded goods).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cargo clearance activities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Possess a valid Class 3 Singapore Driving License.
- Possess a Forklift License.
- At least 1 year of driving experience required.
- Basic ability to use a mobile app for work-related tasks.
- Able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Eligibility to apply for airport and seaport passes
- Class 4 License is an advantage
- Open to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents only
- Monitor changes in customs regulations and inform management or logistics team accordingly
