About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Document Controller to support semiconductor tool hook-up projects. This role involves managing project documentation, coordinating with engineers and vendors, and ensuring compliance with client and internal standards.
The position also requires occasional entry into a cleanroom environment (air-conditioned) to perform documentation checks and site notetaking. Appropriate training and protective equipment will be provided.
Fluency in Mandarin and English is required to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, including overseas teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control all project documentation, including drawings, RFIs, method statements, QA/QC records, and as-built/redline documents.
- Maintain a structured document tracking system to ensure version control, timely review, and approvals.
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and vendors for document submission, collection, and distribution.
- Conduct site assessments in the cleanroom when required to gather or verify documentation.
- Translate and interpret technical documents and communications between English and Mandarin as needed.
- Prepare and compile turnover and handover documentation packages in accordance with client requirements.
- Ensure document control procedures are followed and maintain full traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the project team in maintaining accurate and updated records.
Requirements
- Diploma or higher qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience in document control within the semiconductor or construction industry is preferred (training can be provided).
- Proficient in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Willingness to enter a cleanroom environment as part of work requirements.
