Discipline Assistant

SINGAPOREANS/PRs ONLY

Salary - $2400-$2500


Commitment Period: 1 May 2026 to 31 December 2027

JOB SUMMARY

The Discipline & Investigation Assistant supports the school in maintaining a safe, respectful, and orderly learning environment by assisting in the management of student discipline matters. The role involves conducting preliminary investigations into student-related incidents, gathering statements, and documenting findings in accordance with school policies and MOE guidelines.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Investigative & Case Support

  • Assist in conducting preliminary investigations and fact-finding interviews regarding minor incidents.
  • Obtain student and witness statements where appropriate and compile evidence and prepare structured incident reports to relevant KPs for directions.

2. Detention and Ignite Plus Follow Up

  • Supervise students are assigned for either detention (Monday - Thursday) or IGNITE+ programme (Monday and Wednesday) at any point of time.
  • Ensure students complete assigned tasks during detention.
  • Follow up with form teachers for students assigned for and have missed their detention.
  • Ensure detention tasks are meaningful and developmental in nature.

3. In-House Suspension Support

  • Support school staff in managing students sent out of class, on internal suspension and who are missing from class.
  • Support learning continuity during suspension through liaising with form teachers.

4. Administrative Support

  • Perform data entry support for late-coming, offences and interventions.
  • Compile weekly or monthly discipline statistics when required.
  • Assist in monitoring student reporting channel.
  • Always maintain confidentiality of student information.
  • Review detention, late coming and corrective work processes during the holidays.
  • Any other duties administrative and operational duties pertaining to student management that are assigned by the Authority during the period of employment.

JOBREQUIREMENTS

Skills and experience:

  • The Personnel shall possess a minimum qualification of diploma.
  • The Personnel should preferably be able to use Microsoft Office applications and collaborative tools in Google.
  • The Personnel should preferably have 3 years working experience in uniformed service background (Police, Prison Service or equivalent), with involvement in youth-related case investigation.
  • The Personnel should have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The Personnel should have the ability to multitask, work independently and in a team.
  • The Personnel should have a calm disposition and able to handle challenging student situations.

WORKING HOURS

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30amto 6:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break.
  • Fridays: 8:30am to 5:30pm,inclusive of 1hr lunch break.
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
