About the Job

Reporting to the Executive Director, Student Engagement, you will lead INSEAD's global Psychological Services strategy across all campuses, building an integrated and high-performing mental health framework that supports students, participants, staff, and faculty. In this strategic role, you will shape policies, oversee clinical standards, and provide expert guidance in crisis and high‑risk scenarios-ensuring psychological wellbeing remains deeply embedded in INSEAD's mission and broader institutional decision-making.

Your role within the team

  • Define and lead the global Psychological Services strategy, establishing multi‑year priorities and optimising resources to meet the evolving needs of the INSEAD community.
  • Shape and co-own school-wide policies with mental health implications-including accommodations and emergency response frameworks-ensuring psychological risk is integrated into institutional governance.
  • Advise Deans, Executive Directors, and campus leadership during crises, providing expert guidance in high‑risk situations.
  • Establish governance, protocols, and quality standards for all psychological services across campuses, including external providers, ensuring alignment with ethical, legal, and professional norms.
  • Direct the clinical delivery model across campuses, including selection, contracting, and performance management of external psychologists and affiliated professionals.
  • Provide high-level clinical consultation, crisis triage, and short-term interventions while ensuring routine clinical activities are delivered by the wider team.
  • Partner closely with Student Engagement to embed psychological wellbeing into the broader student and participant journey-from admissions through alumni experience.
  • Co-design and lead preventative wellbeing initiatives, such as resilience training and emergency response preparation, in collaboration with Student Life, Programmes, HR, and Faculty.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting and dashboards tracking consultation trends, psychological service utilisation, market benchmarks, and year‑on‑year patterns across key programmes (MBA, MIM, and others), enabling data‑driven strategic decisions and continuous service improvement.

The ideal candidate profile

  • Ph.D. in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (or equivalent), with 8-10 years experience including leadership of psychological services in complex, multicultural, or high‑pressure environments.
  • Proven experience in crisis management, therapeutic interventions, strategic planning, and leading mental health professionals across geographies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage sensitive, high‑risk situations.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in public speaking, training, and prevention‑oriented initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, lead change, and collaborate across diverse teams and time zones.
  • As a team leader, you will foster a culture where continuous improvement, accountability, and strong professional standards are integral to daily operations. You will lead with empathy-ensuring team members feel heard, valued, and supported in decision-making and complex discussions.
