Liberte HR is partnering with a Singapore-based Family Office with a diverse portfolio including a growing hospitality and lifestyle portfolio across Asia.
As part of the continued expansion of its hospitality platform, the group is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to provide operational leadership across its portfolio of hotels, resorts, sustainability & wellness concepts, as lifestyle programmes.
Based at the Singapore corporate office, this is a newly created senior leadership position reporting to the Managing Director. The successful candidate will oversee the hospitality operations platform at group level and work closely with property General Managers and functional leaders across multiple markets in APAC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across the group's hospitality, lifestyle and wellness portfolio.
- Lead and support General Managers across operating properties and upcoming developments and openings.
- Drive consistent operational standards, service delivery and guest experience across the portfolio.
- Establish and continuously improve group-wide operating procedures, standards, systems and governance.
- Oversee operational performance, budgets, profitability and key performance indicators across hospitality assets.
- Partner with property leadership to identify opportunities to improve revenue, productivity, cost management and operating efficiency.
- Provide operational leadership for new hotel and resort openings, including pre-opening planning, mobilisation and operational readiness.
- Work closely with development, real estate and technical teams during the planning and development of new hospitality assets.
- Oversee and integrate wider hospitality-related functions including culinary, wellness, programming and experiential offerings.
- Ensure individual properties and business units remain aligned with the group's overall brand, sustainability and wellness philosophy.
- Develop organisational capability, succession planning and leadership standards across the hospitality portfolio.
- Support the Managing Director and senior leadership team on portfolio strategy, growth initiatives and future hospitality investments.
Requirements:
- Significant senior leadership experience within the hospitality, hotel, resort or serviced residence sector.
- Proven experience managing multiple properties, brands or hospitality business units at corporate, regional or group level.
- Previous experience as a Group General Manager, Regional/Area General Manager, VP Operations, Head of Operations or equivalent would be highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial performance and P&L management.
- Demonstrated experience establishing operational standards, SOPs, governance and performance frameworks.
- Exposure to pre-openings, hotel development, repositioning or asset enhancement projects.
- Experience working with hotel owners, developers, family offices or real estate groups would be advantageous.
- Exposure to luxury, lifestyle, wellness, resort or experiential hospitality concepts is highly regarded.
- Strong commercial judgement combined with a hands-on approach to operational execution.
- Able to operate effectively within an entrepreneurial, owner-led and evolving organisation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership, property General Managers and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and spoken English and ability to converse and transact in Business Mandarin will be an advantage due to geographical coverage.
- Willingness to undertake regular regional travel.
