Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Operations is a key member of the Hotel Executive Committee and the senior operational leader of the hotel. The role provides strategic and hands-on leadership across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Culinary, Engineering, Security and other operational functions, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence and strong business performance.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the General Manager in leading the overall hotel operation and execution of the hotel's business strategy.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across Rooms, F&B, Culinary, Engineering, Security and other hotel functions.
- Drive guest satisfaction, service excellence and effective service recovery across the hotel.
- Oversee Rooms and F&B performance, ensuring strong operational standards, productivity and profitability.
- Drive revenue, cost management and resource optimisation in partnership with Finance and other key departments.
- Lead, coach and develop the operational leadership team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
- Ensure compliance with IHG brand standards, food safety, health and safety, security and regulatory requirements.
- Lead cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance guest experience, productivity and profitability.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 10 years of progressive hotel operations experience, preferably within an international full-service hotel.
- Previous experience as a Director of Operations, Hotel Manager, Executive Assistant Manager or equivalent senior operational leadership role.
- Strong operational experience across Rooms and Food & Beverage, with a sound understanding of Culinary/Kitchen operations.
- Proven track record managing large-scale hotel operations and multiple operational departments.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, labour management and departmental P&L.
- Demonstrated success in driving guest satisfaction, operational standards and business results.
- Strong leadership, communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with an international hotel brand and familiarity with brand standards would be advantageous.
