Role Overview
The Sales Director will be responsible for originating and closing new business opportunities while managing strategic client relationships across Asia (ex-North Asia). The role focuses on institutional B2B and B2B2C partnerships and clients.
This position requires a strong understanding of financial markets, brokerage infrastructure, and trading platforms, combined with the ability to lead complex sales cycles and develop long-term partnerships with financial institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell GTN platforms and solutions to regional buy/sell-side customers such as banks, brokers, asset managers, wealth managers and fintech clients within the GTN Asia region.
- Strategically develop the portfolio of institutional B2B and B2B2C clients to achieve sustained revenue growth, upsell to increase share of wallet, maintain high level of client satisfaction.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process from lead generation and sales presentations to negotiating and contracting. Work collaboratively with pre-sales teams to close deals.
- Coordinate client interactions within the firm and work in tandem with the Customer Success and Sales Trading teams during on-boarding, go-live and on an ongoing basis.
- Deliver revenue targets as agreed with the company. Prepare account reviews and follow through on account plans.
- Focus on developing and expanding client relationships and upselling other services to customers
- Work closely with Head of Marketing to devise go-to-market strategies to promote GTN offering.
- Work closely with the technology team to ensure GTN offering meet industry standards and customer needs.
- Continue to assess the market landscape and competition to advise management on market dynamics and recommended changes.
- Keep up to date with the development in the industry and benchmark GTN offering on an ongoing basis.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 7 to 10+ years of experience in institutional sales within financial markets, brokerage, trading technology, or fintech.
- Proven track record of selling trading platforms, brokerage infrastructure, or capital markets solutions to financial institutions.
- Strong network across banks, brokers, fintechs, and asset managers in Asia.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and strategic partnerships.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Based in Singapore with a willingness to travel across the region.
