Job Title: Director of Infrastructure Development and Project Management
About the Role
Our client is a market leader in the consumer services sector. They are seeking an experienced Director of Infrastructure Development and Project Management lead the planning, development, and management of facilities. You will lead the team in project management of new facilities and re development of existing facilities.
The role covers strategic oversight of capital development, renovation programs, contracts administration, and operational support, contributing directly to the realization of the companys masterplan and sustainability objectives.
Responsibilities
Strategic Development & Project Oversight
Provide leadership in the design, planning, and execution of new and redevelopment projects.
Partner with stakeholders to align project outcomes with academic and institutional needs.
Oversee project budgets, tender processes, contract awards, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality expectations.
Renovation & Space Enhancement
Drive strategies for the refurbishment, additions, and upgrading of existing facilities to meet evolving requirements.
Ensure effective space utilization through planning and optimization of campus areas.
Supervise consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality renovation outcomes within defined budgets and schedules.
Manage term consultancy and renovation contracts, including architectural, engineering, and quantity surveying services.
Contracts, Governance & Administration
Provide oversight of tender documentation, procurement processes, and contract management in line with regulatory policies.
Lead annual budgeting exercises and ensure financial accountability for capital and operational expenditure.
Oversee compliance with governance, risk management, safety, and sustainability standards.
Ensure effective communication with key stakeholders through reports, presentations, and updates to internal and external agencies.
Requirements
A recognized degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or a related discipline; professional registration is advantageous.
At least 20 years of leadership experience in the built environment sector, including exposure to large-scale development and facilities management.
Demonstrated success in delivering large scale and complex construction projects
Strong knowledge across multiple disciplines, including structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural, and sustainability practices.
Experience overseeing large-scale facilities and infrastructure, with significant operational and financial responsibilities.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse interests.
A results-oriented leader who is resilient, adaptable, and able to navigate challenges with sound judgment.
