The opportunity
A multi-billion-dollar private markets fund manager is establishing a dedicated senior compliance function in Singapore. As the platform grows, bringing in a Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)-literate compliance leader on the ground is a business-critical, high-visibility hire.
This is a rare seat to own MAS compliance end-to-end for a growing global manager at a pivotal moment, working directly with senior leadership.
The role
You will be the designated compliance professional in Singapore, personally named or appointed as the compliance representative for the MAS Capital Markets Services (CMS)-licensed fund management entity. This is deliberately an entity-level mandate: you will map and own the regulatory obligations of the specific regulated legal entities within the group, and understand how those obligations connect across jurisdictions. You will begin as a sole-charge, one-person function, with scope to build a small team as the platform scales.
Key responsibilities
What makes you a fit
You have probably spent 10 to 15 years in compliance, at senior manager to director level, and at some point you have been the person whose name sits on the licence. You have been the designated or appointed compliance representative to MAS for a specific licensed fund management entity, not simply an adviser to firms that held the accountability themselves. You know the difference between advising on a framework and being the one MAS calls.
