Director, NBFI Coverage, FIG - Major Financial Institution

Our client is a major financial institution with a strong and growing presence in Asia. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to assume a senior coverage role, focusing on Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs).

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Financial Institutions Group, you will play a critical role in expanding and deepening the NBFI business while providing comprehensive client coverage, particularly for institutional investors. You will deliver tailored solutions through close collaboration with internal stakeholders and product specialists, driving innovative financing and global markets strategies and actively managing credit within the existing portfolio. Your responsibilities include identifying and developing business opportunities across financing, financial markets, trade and treasury, corporate finance, hedging and cash clearing, ensuring alignment with the bank's global corporate banking objectives. Additionally, you will manage risk and compliance, maintain robust account plans, support seamless transaction execution and leverage on the bank's global network by introducing clients to affiliates and partner institutions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials and at least ten years of relevant experience in a FIG/NBFI coverage role, with proven expertise in covering sovereign wealth funds and pension funds. You possess deep knowledge of financing, capital and global markets, complemented by exceptional analytical and quantitative skills. Your outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities will enable you to manage stakeholders effectively and collaborate with product teams across regions. Highly proactive and self-driven, you stay ahead of market trends and industry developments, consistently identifying new business opportunities to achieve revenue and growth targets. A solid understanding of credit risk is essential, as you will ensure the portfolio remains well-managed and compliant with regulatory and internal standards.
