Introduction

As the Director of Module Engineering, you are overall in charge of the profit and loss of a Fab Operation, ensuring financial performance aligns with strategic goals. You are responsible for leading and managing the operation team to systematically drive improvement in Fab indices including quality / cost / productivity and yield improvement in support of organization's mission. Your expertise is to drive excellence in terms of planning, execution and controls, enhancing operational efficiency and delivering consistent, high-impact results.

Your Job

  • Lead, manage andresponsible for the Fab operation resources, as well as ensure the proper planning of manpower resources. (right hiring to meet fab ops need)
  • Set goals, track & drive performance indicators for the Fab and at the same time, ensure good communication / passdown of Company and Fab direction to the ground level
  • Drive improvement activities in the Fab to enhance productivity, increase efficiency and improve quality performance
  • Ensure good maintenance system and process application of the individual modules
  • Ensure product delivery performance fulfill customers requirements
  • Manage production cycle time, work in progress (WIP) and inventory
  • Drive towards reducing manufacturing costs
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnership with key customers and sub-contractors
  • Plan & forecast annual capital & expense budgeting of the Fab to align with Company direction. At the same time, ensure that individual department Profit and Loss stays within budget
  • Responsible and plan for succession for all critical management positions in the Fab
  • Responsible for consistent performance across the engineering modules
  • Responsible for planning and executing career development goals and training for the employees
  • Encourage cross-Fabs/ Departments sharing/benchmarking of best practices
  • Encourage inter-Fabs/ Departments to foster a strong and cordial working relationship
  • Instill discipline in terms of ensuring employees follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Establish new business opportunities to ensure the continuity of Fab Operation

Other Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for complying with and implementing environmental, health, safety and security (EHSS) system, policies, procedures and guidelines that are applicable to your scope of work, thereby maintaining a healthy and safe workplace.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's / Master's / PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive technical and managerial experience in the semiconductor industry, with demonstrated expertise across multiple process modules, including Chemical Mechanical Processing (CMP) and clean technology.
  • Strong leadership in mentoring diverse technical teams, influencing cross-site initiatives, and contributing to strategic decisions at the fab or consortium level.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that values agility, innovation, and inclusive collaboration. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to lead and adapt within a diverse workforce and contribute meaningfully to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
