About Our Client

Our client is a global asset manager establishing a new team to strengthen the management of investment data and benchmarks across the group. This is a newly created role with the opportunity to build a more consistent approach as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with investment teams to understand their benchmark and market data needs

• Oversee benchmark selection, changes, reviews and ongoing data quality

• Establish clear processes, controls and ownership across the benchmark lifecycle

• Partner with data, operations and performance teams to resolve issues across systems

• Manage relationships and commercial arrangements with index and data providers

• Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve controls and automate processes

• Provide advice to stakeholders on benchmark and investment data matters

Requirements

• Experience in investment data, benchmarks, indices, performance or a related area within asset management

• Strong understanding of how investment teams use benchmarks and market data

• Experience improving data governance, processes or controls

• Able to work across investment, technology and operational teams

• Comfortable taking ownership and building a function in a newly established team
