About Our Client
Our client is a regional wholesale bank with a growing presence across Asia. As part of its continued focus on strengthening financial crime governance, the bank is seeking to appoint a Director, Financial Crime Compliance to oversee its AML and financial crime framework.
This role will work closely with senior management and business stakeholders to ensure robust financial crime controls across the bank's corporate and wholesale banking activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the bank's financial crime compliance framework, including AML policies and procedures.
Provide oversight across KYC, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring and AML investigations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial crime standards.
Provide guidance to the business on financial crime risks across corporate and wholesale banking clients.
Manage regulatory engagement, reporting and internal governance matters.
Oversee financial crime reviews, issue remediation and continuous enhancement of controls.
Partner with compliance, risk and business teams to strengthen the bank's financial crime governance framework.
Requirements
1215 years of experience in financial crime compliance, AML or regulatory compliance within banking.
Strong experience supporting corporate banking or wholesale banking businesses.
Broad understanding of AML frameworks, KYC processes and financial crime risk management.
Experience engaging with regulators and managing regulatory expectations.
Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities.
Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders across business, compliance and risk functions.
