Job Description

The Client of ours is one of Largest Technology Manufacturer based across USA, Europe and APAC. They are currently expanding their operations in Singapore and is looking for an experienced Director, Commodity Management (End to End Supply Chain). This is a senior leadership position accountable for shaping and implementing global commodity strategies that improve cost effectiveness, supply agility, technological progress, and overall supply chain robustness. This role leads high-impact strategic programs, promotes a culture of cost discipline, supply reliability, and continuous improvement, and supports sustainable growth in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Additional Responsibilities: -

  • Create and deploy global strategies for assigned commodities that support business expansion, operational scalability, commercial value, quality standards, and corporate goals across all manufacturing locations and design centers.
  • Lead strategic sourcing efforts by applying market insights, risk assessments, and total cost of ownership methodologies tailored to the electronics industry.
  • Oversee supplier evaluation, negotiations, and ongoing relationship management with key electronics suppliers, contract manufacturers, and distributors to build resilient, adaptable, and innovative supply networks.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, quality, and finance teams to ensure commodity strategies align with product roadmaps, emerging technologies, and business priorities.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to geopolitical, regulatory, and market fluctuations, with particular attention to electronics supply chain disruptions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, supplier performance, and cost reduction initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, digital tools, and other proven methodologies.
  • Track and assess electronics commodity market trends, adjusting strategies to seize opportunities and reduce exposure to risk.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies, ethical sourcing requirements, and sustainability objectives, including compliance with conflict minerals regulations.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate success in cost savings, lead-time reduction, risk mitigation, inventory management, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:-

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in commodity management, strategic sourcing, or supply chain leadership within the electronics manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing global commodity strategies and managing complex supplier ecosystems for electronic components and materials.
  • Advanced negotiation, analytical, and decision-making capabilities. Hands-on experience in risk management, cost modeling, and market analysis in electronics.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop diverse, high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influence across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with procurement and analytics platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI) and familiarity with electronics industry systems.
  • Working knowledge of sustainability, responsible sourcing, and conflict minerals compliance preferred.
