Job Description

Job Summary

The role requires working closely with the key FI coverage business stakeholders to understand business objectives, priorities and areas for growth and develop integrated marketing plans in support of revenue and growth target while ensuring alignment with the Group strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Responsible for driving and delivering the Financial Institution (FI) Coverage Brand & Marketing strategies for the group ensuring consistent and aligned delivery with country agendas
  • Support Global Client Coverage Marketing Head and contribute to overall Brand & Marketing vision/priorities as a member of the Group CIB marketing team

Business

  • Lead the implementation and execution of the Global FI marketing plan by providing guidance, counsel, input for client retention and relationship enhancement and for positioning the Bank against the competition
  • Position the Bank as a thought leader through strategic partnerships with media, key sponsorship platforms and business chambers et
  • Source and manage external marketing agencies to support event management, content creation and development as appropriate
  • Responsible for the overall Global FI marketing plan and budget and to ensure key buisness deliverables are met
  • Drive key group and business projects to successful completion and share best practices and learning with region / group
  • Drive digital marketing with business teams using effective digital platforms and work closely with the digital marketing team to build the Financial Institution (FI) narrative and key selling proposition
  • Ongoing tracking and monitoring of activity results, to ensure ROI is measured and can provide a basis for informing future marketing decision making
  • Track and analyse competitors marketing activities and present findings and recommend any strategic realignments required

Processes

  • Ensure strict compliance with all regulations and controls as set by the Bank and external regulatory authorities by all staff
  • Provide support to the team in ensuring that we achieve and maintain satisfactory audit rating
  • Maintain accuracy and full compliance for the Sponsorship and Donations Policy
  • Ensure good business judgement through following the group Gift and Entertainment Policy and Procedures

Risk Management

  • Adherence to laws and regulations, internal risk and compliance policies (including anti-money laundering, sanction, anti-bribery & corruption and relevant FCC risks) and the Group Code of Conduct

Governance

  • Accountability for the Group FI marketing budgets
  • Ensure adherence to the Risk Management Framework, Group Code of Conduct and various Policies, Procedures and Guidelines of the Bank by the regional CABM team
  • Maintain high awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the business operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
  • Completion of all mandatory training needed including e-learning within stated timeframes to support the understanding of the roles for delivering effective governance

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 15+ years of work experience, preferably in the financial services industry with a track record of implementing successfully marketing initiatives
  • Preferably to have experience of B2B marketing in financial or professional services
  • Superior influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Willing to travel
