Digital Platform (R&D) Engineer

Role Overview

As a Digital Platform (R&D) Engineer, you will bridge the gap between core research and scalable software architecture. You will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and iterating on digital frameworks that support medical device data, regulatory workflows, and secure information exchange. This role requires a blend of creative problem-solving and disciplined engineering to move projects from proof of concept to market-ready.

Key Responsibilities

. System Architecture & Prototyping: Design and develop modular, scalable platform components using modern tech stacks (e.g., Microservices, Cloud Native architectures).

. Regulatory Alignment: Integrate compliance-by-design principles (such as GHWP or ISO 13485 standards) into the software development lifecycle.

. R&D Innovation: Conduct feasibility studies and technical spikes for new features, including AI-driven automation or distributed ledger integrations.

. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Regulatory Affairs, Product Management, and Cybersecurity teams to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.

. Documentation& Standards: Maintain rigorous technical documentation and version control, ensuring all R&D activities are traceable and audit-ready.

Qualifications

. Experience: Experience in software engineering, preferably within the MedTech, Fintech, or highly regulated digital sectors.

. Technical Skills: Proficiency in full-stack development (e.g., Python, Java, or Node.js), API design, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).

. Methodology: Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum frameworks and a Six Sigma mindset toward reducing software defects.
