DevOps Engineer

About the Role

In this role, you will manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines, maintain AWS infrastructure, and support secure development and deployment processes.

You will work closely with development teams to improve automation and deployment workflows, write and maintain scripts using Bash or Python, and monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and pipeline issues. The role also involves integrating security best practices within the CI/CD pipeline and supporting basic MySQL database management.

This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working with cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD systems, and who is keen to contribute to improving development and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and deployment.
. Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure to support scalable and reliable applications.
. Integrate security best practices within the CI/CD pipeline.
. Write and maintain automation scripts using Bash or Python.
. Collaborate with software development teams to ensure smooth and secure deployment workflows.
. Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and pipeline issues.
. Basic management and query of MySQL databases.
. Support and improve development and operational processes.

Qualifications

. 2-3 years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
. Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash and Python. . Experience managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.).
. Knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g, GitLab CI).
. Basic understanding of MySQL database management.
. Familiarity with JavaScript development is a plus.
. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
. Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

. Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
. Exposure to security tools and practices in DevOps.
