Devops engineer

Job Summary

You will lead the implementation and deployment of Government IT enterprise systems, managing devops components and executing physical software deployments at site systems to ensure operational excellence and system reliability.

Responsibilities

. Manage and administer devops components to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines for Government IT enterprise systems

. Execute physical deployment of software at site systems, ensuring accurate installation and configuration to meet operational requirements

. Apply expertise in Windows and/or Linux system and networking knowledge to troubleshoot system integration issues.

. Utilize Ansible to automate system configuration and deployment tasks, enhancing efficiency and repeatability

. Deploy/Manage Kubernetes clusters to orchestrate containerized applications for scalable and resilient system operations

. Deploy/Monitor system health and performance using Grafana dashboards to proactively identify and resolve issues

. Deploy/Manage Kafka messaging systems to support reliable data streaming and communication between services

. Develop/maintain scripts such as in Python, PowerShell, to automate routine tasks

. Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize system downtime and maintain service continuity

Preferred competencies and qualifications

. Experience with Kubernetes

. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana

. Knowledge of Kafka messaging systems

. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell
