Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and proactive designer to join our team at Being Kids. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, proposing, and delivering high-fidelity artwork for a range of products, from packaging to the final item.

Your designs will feature licensed characters and brands, ensuring they appeal to our retail partners in high-traffic stores across Singapore. The ideal candidate has a strong ownership mindset, takes initiative in product development, and has experience working with diverse characters or licenses to create marketable merchandise.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative proposals for new products, including concept sketches, mood boards, and initial designs based on licensed characters or custom themes.

• Create high-fidelity artwork for packaging, labels, product surfaces, and marketing materials, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and retail appeal.

• Collaborate with the product development team, suppliers, and retail partners to iterate on designs from concept to production-ready files.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks with an ownership approach to meet deadlines and quality standards.

• Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing processes, focusing on 2D elements (no 3D modeling required).

• Provide feedback and refinements based on stakeholder input, maintaining a high level of detail and creativity throughout.

• Provide design expertise for in-store marketing activities

Required Skills and Experience

• Expertise in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for creating detailed, production-ready artwork.

• Strong portfolio showcasing high-fidelity designs for packaging, products, and branding, preferably involving characters or licenses.

• Ownership mindset: Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take full responsibility for projects from ideation to completion.

• 3+ years of relevant experience in product development or graphic design for consumer goods.

• Proven experience in product design, ideally in the toy, gift, or merchandise industry with a focus on licensed characters or brands is a bonus.
